• PREVENT Disposable Safety Scalpels feature slide retraction technology to help prevent accidental cuts and injury. The pre-assembled scalpel blade is activated by pushing the slider forward to expose the blade, temporarily locking it in position to prevent accidental retractions. A visual line and audible click indicate the blade's position - retracted, extended and permanent lock. The final lock mechanism permanently locks blade away in sheath after use. PREVENT Disposable Safety Scalpels are compliant with OSHA's directive for the Needlestick Safety & Prevention Act. Available in three blade sizes, which are clearly marked on each plastic handle, and indicated by the color of slider. All sterile disposable scalpels are made of stainless steel and individually packaged for single-use convenience.This scalpel has a #15 blade. 10 per box, 50 boxes per case.
